A pleasant comfort and a varied choice with our bamboo bed linen set
After a long day's work, we all dream of a cosy bed to enjoy a soft and restful night. However, the quality of sleep also depends to a large extent on the bed linen, but not only on the mattress and the slat base. Pillowcases, fitted sheets and duvet covers all help to create a comfortable nest.
Why opt for a bed linen set?
When you buy your bed linen, you have two options:
-
Or you buy it separately: fitted sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase, etc.
-
Or you can buy a complete bedding set.
A bed set is a practical set of bed linen. It usually consists of a duvet cover, a flat sheet and two pillowcases. However, the number of pieces can be changed according to your needs. The largest model can include a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, a duvet cover and 2 pillowcases.
Buying a bed linen set offers several advantages. First of all, you buy all your bed linen at once. This saves you time, but also money. The price is lower than if you buy the items separately. The colours and patterns of the components are already matched. You can be sure that your room will be decorated in perfect harmony. The final advantage of the bed linen set is the ease of maintenance. When you buy your bed linen in different colours, they may not be made of the same material. This means that you will have to wash them separately to avoid damage. With a bedding set, all the pieces are made identically. You only have to put them in the machine and save time.
How to choose the size of your bed linen?
Before choosing your bed linen, you should be careful not to choose the wrong size. The fitted sheet should fit your mattress perfectly. The duvet cover should fit the size of your duvet. And the pillowcases should fit the shape of your pillows. To avoid making a mistake, we advise you to make a note of the dimensions of your duvet, mattress and pillows. If you find a bedding set you like, make sure that the components ideally match the measurements of each of your bedding elements. The Comptoir du Bambou bed set comes in different sizes to suit all needs. Whether you sleep in a single or double mattress, we have the right bed linen for you.
Which material for your bed linen?
The choice of material for your bed linen depends on your personal preferences, but also on the quality you are looking for. However, we recommend that you choose natural fibres such as cotton, linen or bamboo. These have the advantage of being breathable, quickly wicking moisture and limiting the development of odours. They also provide you with optimal well-being and comfort.
Cotton is the most commonly used material for bed linen. It is soft, healthy and easy to care for. But there are many other possibilities. At Comptoir du Bambou, our bed linen is made from bamboo satin, which is composed of Fibre B®. This is a natural and innovative material, a mixture of 70% of the best bamboo species and 30% of Egyptian cotton. Its advantages are numerous:
-
If you want to improve the quality of your sleep, bamboo fibre is naturally soft and silky. It envelops you in total well-being and quickly transports you to dreamland. It also makes you want to sleep in.
-
If you sweat a lot at night, our bamboo bed linen is very breathable. It absorbs sweat much better than cotton. So say goodbye to the damp feeling that wakes you up in the middle of the night.
-
If you are concerned about your health and the organic aspect of our products, you should know that they are OEKO-TEX certified. This standard guarantees the absence of chemicals that are harmful to humans and the planet. Bamboo fibre is also naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial. It is suitable even for the most sensitive skin.
-
The other great thing about our bamboo bed linen is that it is thermoregulating. This means that it adapts to the outside temperature. So when it's cold, it retains heat to keep you warm. During the summer nights, it expels excess heat to keep you cool.
What colour for your bed linen?
The bed linen set is a decorative element in its own right. It is advisable to match its colours to the shades present in your bedroom to create a harmonious and coherent whole. Harmony is more conducive to rest than a contrasting universe.
Comptoir du Bambou offers you a range of high quality, aesthetic, plain bed linen. If you want a sober and natural room, you can choose among our products in neutral and cold tones, such as white, grey or beige. They fit in easily with any decor and are very sleepy. If you want to give your bedroom more colour, choose our blue bed linen set instead. Bringing harmony and relaxation, this colour is perfect if you have a restless sleep. At Comptoir du Bambou, you are free to choose the colour you like!
How to maintain your bamboo bed linen?
Bed linen should be washed and changed regularly. You sleep better with fresh, clean sheets, and this will prevent the spread of dust mites and bacteria in the house. Ideally, you should wash your sheets once a week or every two weeks.
Our bamboo satin bedding is designed to be easy to care for. The sheets, duvet cover and pillowcases can all be machine washed. A temperature of 60°C is suitable for removing dirt and bacteria that have become embedded. Stains are treated with a black soap before washing. After cleaning, you can air dry or tumble dry them. They do not need to be ironed. Do not use fabric softener, which is a polluting product for the environment. It may also impair the absorbency of bamboo. By following these tips, you can be sure to use your bamboo bed linen for many years. It is durable, does not shrink in the wash and retains its original colour for a long time.
