Our reasoned and responsible approach enables us to produce better quality household linen using fewer resources than traditional household linen, such as cotton.
The most ecological material in the world: Bamboo
First of all, to design and manufacture our products, we chose the most ecological material in the world: bamboo. We chose bamboo to make our household linen, not just because it's an environmentally-friendly material, but also because it enables us to design products that are of very high quality, more durable and more comfortable.
We encourage ethical and sustainable production
Our partners are all located in Europe and have the necessary certifications that comply with social and environmental standards. All our products are manufactured under fair and safe working conditions.
Comptoir du Bambou is committed to reducing the carbon footprint of its business
We have adapted our production processes and transport flows to reduce the carbon footprint of our business.
For example, we use non-toxic dyes and focus on reducing the use of water and energy in the production process. In fact, our bamboo fibre, Fibre B., binds dyes better. So less dye and water are needed. What's more, the Fibre B. conversion and design process is a closed circuit. So very little water is consumed.
Designing products that are more comfortable, more efficient and more durable
Comptoir du Bambou is committed to designing products that are very comfortable and, above all, more durable. We are convinced that cheap linen is too expensive. You'll change it more often. That's why all our household linen is high quality, very comfortable and more durable (over time and for the planet). As a result of numerous tests carried out in industrial laundries and in hotels, spas and beauty salons, Comptoir du Bambou household linen lasts 3 times longer than cotton linen. We also encourage the recyclability of our products, in particular by allowing professionals to use recycled materials wherever possible.
Helping professionals raise awareness and inform their customers
We are aware that the textile industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world. We quickly won over professionals thanks to the quality of our linen and the meaning we wanted to give to our brand. Many hotels and spas were quickly won over.
