The advantages of bamboo fibre sheets
Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification is a label of confidence in the textile industry, guaranteeing that products meet strict standards in terms of safety and the absence of substances harmful to human health. This certification relates solely to the product. It guarantees several things:
Controlling harmful substances
Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification guarantees that certified textile products have been tested in a laboratory and do not contain harmful substances such as azo dyes, phthalates, heavy metals, pesticides, flame retardants, etc. At Comptoir du Bambou, this control stage is carried out at the end of production during the quality control of our products.
Strict threshold requirements
Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification sets strict thresholds for each product category, depending on its intended use. The acceptable limits for harmful substances are stricter than current national and international regulations.
Independent control
To obtain Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification, tests are carried out by independent laboratories accredited by the International Association for Textile Ecology Research and Development (AITEX).
Regular checks
All our linen is Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certified and undergoes regular checks to ensure that the requirements of the certification are met. This includes tests for harmful substances as well as production checks at the manufacturing site.
Worldwide coverage
Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certification is internationally recognised and covers a wide range of textile products (clothing, household linen and many others). These are mainly textiles that come into contact with the skin.
